Advair Diskus is used for long-term treatment of asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in certain patients. It may also be used to treat other breathing conditions as determined by your doctor. Advair Diskus is a long-acting corticosteroid and bronchodilator combination. It works by reducing inflammation and widening the airways in the lungs, which helps you breath more easily.

Use Advair Diskus as directed by your doctor.

Do not use a spacer with Advair Diskus.

Always ready and use this device in a level, flat position.

Hold the device in one hand and put the thumb of your other hand on the thumb grip. Push your thumb away from you as far as it will go until the mouthpiece appears and snaps into position.

Hold the device in a level, flat position with the mouthpiece toward you. Slide the lever away from you as far as it will go until it clicks.

Do NOT close or tilt the device, play with the lever, or move the lever more than 1 time. This may release or waste extra doses.

Hold the device away from your mouth and breathe out fully. Do NOT breathe into the inhaler. Put the mouthpiece to your lips. Breathe in quickly and deeply through the device.

Remove the device from your mouth. Hold your breath for about 10 seconds, or as long as is comfortable. Then breathe out slowly.

Close the device. Put your thumb on the thumb grip and slide it back toward you as far as it will go. The device will click shut and the lever will return to its original position.

Your dose of medicine is a very fine powder. Most, but not all, patients can taste or feel the dose. Do NOT use another dose if you do not taste or feel the medicine. If you are not sure if you are receiving your dose, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

Rinse your mouth with water after using Advair Diskus. DO NOT swallow the rinse solution. Spit the rinse water out.

If you are using other inhaled medicines, wait a few minutes between using Advair Diskus and other inhalers, unless directed otherwise by your doctor.

Take your doses of Advair Diskus about 12 hours apart, unless your doctor tells you otherwise.

Never wash the mouthpiece or any other part of the inhaler. Keep it dry. Store Advair Diskus in a dry place.

Throw Advair Diskus away 1 month after you remove it from the foil pouch, or after the dose indicator reads "0," whichever comes first.

You may breathe more easily after the first dose of Advair Diskus. However, it may take 1 week or longer to achieve the most benefit.

Use Advair Diskus on a regular schedule to get the most benefit from it. Using Advair Diskus at the same time each day will help you remember to use it. Do not stop using Advair Diskus even if you feel better unless your doctor tells you.

If you miss a dose of Advair Diskus, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not use 2 doses at once.

Ask your health care provider any question you may have about how to use Advair Diskus.

Store Advair Diskus between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Advair Diskus out of the reach of children and away from pets.

Active Ingredient: Fluticasone propionate, Salmeterol xinafoate.

Do NOT use Advair Diskus if:

you are allergic to any ingredient in Advair Diskus or to milk proteins

you are having an asthma attack (eg, sudden, severe onset or worsening of asthma symptoms such as chest tightness, cough, shortness of breath, wheezing)

you are using another type of long-acting inhaled bronchodilator (eg, formoterol inhalation powder, salmeterol inhalation powder)

you are taking an azole antifungal (eg, ketoconazole), certain HIV protease inhibitors (eg, ritonavir), a macrolide antibiotic (eg, clarithromycin), nefazodone, or telithromycin.

Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.

Some medical conditions may interact with Advair Diskus. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:

if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding

if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement

if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances

if you are taking a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (eg, phenelzine) or tricyclic antidepressant (eg, amitriptyline), or if you have taken either of these medicines within the last 14 days

if you have high blood acid levels (eg, ketoacidosis) or a history of diabetes, glaucoma, or increased pressure in the eye, heart problems (eg, fast or irregular heartbeat, heart blood vessel problems), high blood pressure, nervous system problems, liver problems, low blood potassium levels, seizures, thyroid problems, or an adrenal gland tumor

if you are having a COPD flare-up, have recently been to an emergency room for asthma, have a history of frequent hospitalizations for asthma, or have ever had a life-threatening asthma attack

if you have a fungal, bacterial, or parasitic infection; a viral infection (eg, measles, chickenpox, shingles); herpes virus infection of the eye; tuberculosis (TB); a history of a positive TB skin test; or immune system problems; or if you have had a recent vaccination

if you have weak bones (osteoporosis) or have risk factors for osteoporosis (eg, a family history of osteoporosis, tobacco use, long-term use of corticosteroids or certain seizure medicines, limited physical exercise, poor nutrition).

Some medicines may interact with Advair Diskus. Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following:

Diuretics (eg, hydrochlorothiazide, furosemide) or long-acting inhaled bronchodilators (eg, salmeterol inhalation powder, formoterol inhalation powder) because the risk of low blood potassium or irregular heartbeat may be increased

Beta-blockers (eg, propranolol) because they may decrease Advair Diskus's effectiveness

Azole antifungals (eg, ketoconazole), catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT) inhibitors (eg, entacapone), delavirdine, HIV protease inhibitors (eg, ritonavir), macrolide antibiotics (eg, clarithromycin), MAOIs (eg, phenelzine), nefazodone, short-acting beta-agonist bronchodilators (eg, albuterol), telithromycin, or tricyclic antidepressants (eg, amitriptyline) because they may increase the risk of Advair Diskus's side effects.

This may not be a complete list of all interactions that may occur. Ask your health care provider if Advair Diskus may interact with other medicines that you take. Check with your health care provider before you start, stop, or change the dose of any medicine.

Important safety information:

Advair Diskus may cause dizziness. This effect may be worse if you take it with alcohol or certain medicines. Use Advair Diskus with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to it.

Advair Diskus will not stop an asthma attack once one has started. Be sure to carry a short-acting bronchodilator with you at all times to treat any breathing problems that may occur between doses of Advair Diskus (eg, severe or sudden onset of wheezing or shortness of breath).

If you have been regularly using a short-acting bronchodilator inhaler (eg, albuterol), talk with your doctor about how to use it with Advair Diskus. Short-acting bronchodilators are normally only used with Advair Diskus to treat breathing problems that may occur between doses.

Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about all of your asthma medicines and how to use them. Do not start, stop, or change the dose of any asthma medicine unless your doctor tells you to.

If your symptoms do not get better within 1 week or if they get worse after you start using Advair Diskus, check with your doctor.

Tell your doctor or dentist that you take Advair Diskus before you receive any medical or dental care, emergency care, or surgery.

Tell your doctor at once if you notice your short-acting bronchodilator inhaler does not work as well, if you need to use it more often (eg, more than 4 times a day for more than 2 days in a row, or 1 whole canister within 8 weeks' time), or if you have a decrease in your peak meter flow results.

The risk of serious heart problems (eg, irregular heartbeat) may be greater if you use Advair Diskus in high doses. Do NOT use more than the recommended dose or use for longer than prescribed without checking with your doctor.

Advair Diskus may sometimes cause severe breathing problems right after you use a dose. If this happens, use your short-acting bronchodilator inhaler. Seek medical care at once if your breathing does not improve after you use the short-acting bronchodilator. Tell your doctor about this reaction.

Use caution if you switch from an oral steroid (eg, prednisone) to Advair Diskus. It may take several months for your body to make enough natural steroids to handle events that cause physical stress. Such events may include injury, surgery, infection, a sudden asthma attack, or severe fluid or electrolyte loss. These may be severe and sometimes fatal. Contact your doctor right away if any of these events occur. You may need to take an oral steroid (eg, prednisone) again.

If you have not had chickenpox, shingles, or measles, avoid contact with anyone who does. Contact your doctor at once if you have contact with anyone who has these infection.

Check with your doctor before you receive any vaccine while you are using Advair Diskus.

Diabetes patients - Advair Diskus may affect your blood sugar. Check blood sugar levels closely. Ask your doctor before you change the dose of your diabetes medicine.

Rhydian Morris

Rhydian Morris is a teenage Wolfblood living in foster care, after his mother left him in the woods to hunt for food to bring back to their pack. While she was gone, he was found by humans and was taken into custody, than placed in the UK foster system. Once Maddy found out that he in fact was a Wolfblood, and once he found out that he wasn't the only Wolfblood in the world, he joined their pack.

Rhydian Morris is portrayed by Bobby Lockwood.

Sometime after his first transformation, Rhydian was relocated to Stoneybridge to live with a new foster family. We see Rhydian the day after his second transformation. On his first day at his new school in Stoneybridge, the Ks find him very attractive and try to persuade him to be their friend. Walking in class, Maddy makes a fool of herself by saying "you smell like my parents" (Maddy's is a not yet a full transformed wolfblood, and with her already having her wolfblood power of increased sense of smell. she can smell the Rhydian's scent.) As people try to befriend Rhydian, Maddy worries he could expose her and her family's secret. Rhydian has a hard time trying to keep the secret at first, and he feels isolated for a few episodes until he starts to bond with the Smith's pack. After Jimi, the school bully picks on Rhydian on his first day, his anger goes out of control, and he uses his wolfblood power to attack him. Maddy manages to pull him off of Jimi and hide him in the dark room. Rhydian's anger takes over and he transforms and runs wild, trashing the equipment. Maddy's eyes turn to her wolf yellow as she comes face to face with wolf Rhydian and calms him down. After shifting back, he has many questions for Maddy as he always thought he was the only one of his kind. Maddy tells him to leave town because he's a danger to them all.

Confronting Jimi after he tried to get Rhydian expelled

Maddy discovers Rhydian is in the foster system and therefore a lonewolf and realizes she's been too hard on Rhydian and runs after him. She catches him running away from Stoneybridge and chases him, and they both begin to realize how fun it is running wild and free. Convincing him to stay, they start running again (Maddy chasing Rhydian) using their increased wolf speed. After Maddy catches him and they fall down a hill landing on each other, Maddy and Rhydian have landed in where the badger watching club is and have scared away all the badgers which angers Shannon and Tom

Maddy then lies to Tom and Shannon saying that Rhydian is a distant cousin, and they'd had a big fight before he left town and then she had to apologize to him now that he has agreed to stay.

As the series progresses, Rhydian begins getting in a lot of trouble findind difficulty adapting to normal life, but always has Maddy and her parents to protect and help him. Their friendship grows so close that when their friend Shannon starts to figure out what Maddy really is, Rhydian does his best to protect both of them and their secret.

Rhydian protecting Maddy

A few days before Maddy's transformation, she gets really edgy and stressed. Half way through the exams, Rhydian pulls the fire alarm so that Maddy could relax. She later gets caught in a real fire and as fire is a great enemy to wolfbloods, he can't save her. He gets help from Tom and Mr. Jeffries. Tom saves both Maddy and Shannon. Rhydian takes Maddy from Tom and helps her out. They find out later that when Maddy first faced the fire, her eyes went yellow, and Shannon had seen - leading to Shannon guessing her/their secret.

On the day of Maddy's first transformation, Maddy and Rhydian are excited in anticipation. But Maddy and Rhydian get stuck on a school trip on a remote island after Rhydian hurts his ankle after falling off a roof. Maddy refuses to leave his side being the friend she is. They are stranded on a island with everyone in their class, so Maddy and Rhydian sneak out at the full moon so they can avoid being spotted. Maddy was scared so Rhydian told her that he will look after her. They hold hands on Maddy first transformation. Unfortunately, Tom and Shannon go out at night hunting for "the monster" and spot them. Shannon suspects Maddy is a "werewolf", and Tom thinks they're dating. Rhydian knocks Tom over, so that he and Maddy can run away, and the next morning, everything is back to normal.

Things get more difficult as the series progresses, out of the wild Rhydian's mother finds Rhydian and urges him to come back to the wild with her.

Rhydian is faced with the choice, return with his mother to the wild or stay with Maddy. Rhydian's mother is outraged when he chooses friends over family and disappears into the wild!

In the second series, Rhydian returns from the wild after being chased by the pack leader Alric along with Arran and Meinir He has changed a lot from the wild and finds it difficult to re-adjust to regular life and is prone to losing of his temper. He is also in a complicated situation between Maddy and Jana as both seem to like him in a more than just friendly way, we see him spending a lot more time with Maddy a lot in this series, which may suggest, he has stronger feelings for her than Jana, he begins to realize he belongs to Maddy by the end of the series. He also has a really tough decision in episode 11. In episode 11, Rhydian ends up staying with Maddy and lets his mum and Jana go. The night before, he meets Maddy at her house and says he can't go because he can't lose people important to him (Maddy). Maddy then take his hand and puts it over her heart.

In The Discovery. Rhydian ask Maddy on a date. When Maddy admits she has fallen in love with Rydian, he kisses her, and says he says he is in love with her too. Maddy states that they "Will find each other", then Maddy leaves for the wild.

Series 3 In the third series Rhydian faces new challenges and struggles with coping with the fact that Maddie can no longer return and many new challanges that put him to the limit. With the return of Jana from the wild, this provides him new Wolfblood allies that help him with his heartbreak of Maddy leaving for the wild. Although after the discovery of what happened to her after leaving, his whole world is turned upside down. He must also focus on life beyond school and Stoneybridge, however with old foes making apperances and new Wolfblood allies not being quite what they seen. Rhydian must fight to find and unite the whole of his pack, otherwise Wolfbloods could face extinction. Rhydian's father is revealed and Rhydian must come to terms with him as well along with receiving two new foster brothers to take care of.

After the climax of the story Rhydian after all decides to leave for Canada to find Maddy so they could be together again, leaving a mystery as to whether or not he'll return to Stoneybridge with Maddy or remain in Canada with her.

Rhydian arrives in Canada and tracks Maddy to somewhere in the mountains and they reunite in wolf form thereafter.

[Please Read Before Posting Threads] What Is And Isn't General Discussion? 03/31/2016

Tenno, Recently a lot of forum users have been posting feedback, bug and question threads about the game here in General Discussion, only to complain when community moderators or forum staff move their thread to the appropriate section. General Discussion is not for feedback about the game, for bug reports or for help questions, we have other forum sections specifically for these things. There are a few criteria for determining what feedback is and what general discussion is, but the two main criteria are the following: Objective - The goal of the thread Target Audience - Who is being addressed with the thread A feedback thread's objective is affecting the game; be it through negative feedback (change is desired) or positive feedback (change is not desired). And a feedback's Target Audience is the developers; your thread is directed towards DE, they are who you are making the thread for. If either two of these criteria are met then the thread is most likely feedback (and belongs in the appropriate feedback subforum). A general discussion thread's objective is not to affect the game, it's to hold a discussion. And the Target Audience of a general discussion thread is other players and the community, not the developers. For example, a thread titled "Which frame do you like the most and why?" would be a discussion thread, because its objective is a discussion about what players enjoy, and it's audience is other players. Ultimately, a lot of what determines whether a thread is a feedback thread is the opening post. Although feedback threads can have discussions in them between players, this does not make it general discussion. What it boils down to is the goal of the thread and who it's addressing. It's a thread for conveying opinions to the developers, and people are bound to agree and disagree (and therefore start a discussion on said thread). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you post something in General Discussion and find that it's no longer there, chances are it's been moved (if it was merged, we will try to notify you via private message, but sometimes when we have to merge a large number of threads we may not be able to). Here's a helpful guide for you to figure out where it might have been moved to: Players Helping Players is the forum for when you have a question about something in the game or need help with something game-related--such as mod builds for frames/weapons, build comparisons, how to craft certain things, where to find components/mods/enemies, strategies for bosses, etc. Guides, solutions, tips and tricks can all be placed here. With hundreds of thousands of players, there's bound to be one that has experienced the same issue as you and has figured out how to solve it! PC Beta Bugs, PS4 Beta Bugs and XB1 Beta Bugs are the places for threads reporting malfunctioning parts of the game, bugs, things that have broken, et cetera (you should really make a support ticket too!). Fan Zone is the place for fan fiction, fan-sponsored contests, screenshots to share your achievements and Warframe-related video streams/Youtube channels. Fan Concepts is the place for concepts for new systems, warframes, weapons, and gameplay mechanics. PC Trading Post, PS4 Trading Post and XB1 Trading Post are for all things trading on the respective platforms. Threads looking to sell, buy, and trade go here, as well as any price checking. If you post a thread critiquing changes or content in the game, it's likely been moved to one of the Feedback Subforums, the guide to which is below. Because feedback threads are by far the biggest offender in General Discussion, I've put together this guide on where feedback goes, breaking up and explaining the feedback subforums (Feedback forums are where the devs go for feedback regarding the game! Not General Discussion!). The list is a bit lengthy, so it's been put in spoiler tags: So, for example, if you make a thread in General Discussion saying something like "The lore really needs work, and this is how I think it should be done" then it's probably going to get moved to the General Feedback forum. If you're dissatisfied with a recent patch or update and want to give DE a piece of your mind, the Specific Feedback associated with your platform (i. e. PC Specific Feedback or PS4 Specific feedback) is probably where it will get moved to (it may also be moved to the other feedback forums depending on what the thread is specifically about). Wording is also very important, and your choice of description is also. This is why many people mix up feedback with discussion. In discussion, you are talking about things that are current, not commenting on how cool or disappointing they are. For example, 'What do you think is the best frame? I like Valkyr because of her focus on melee.' is General Discussion, whereas 'Valkyr is a really good frame. Her melee animations are nice, and her abilities compliment eachother well.' is feedback. tl;dr - We have specific subforums for feedback, bug reports, helping players, fan-made stuff and so on. General Discussion is not a "catch-all" forum, and for the sake of keeping things tidy and organized we'd really appreciate it if you didn't treat it as such! If you have any questions, comments, suggestions, please feel free to post them here or to send me or the other moderators a private message!

But

be careful, if you have problems with liver don’t take these pills but these pills are compatibile with other drugs, well except those that contain paracetamol because that would bring the risk of overdozage.

You are allowed to take 1 or 2 pills 3 or 4 times a day every 6 to 8 hours.

AcciпїЅn terapпїЅutica.

Propiedades.

DosificaciпїЅn.

TambiпїЅn se ha seпїЅalado visiпїЅn borrosa.

Paracetamol

SinпїЅnimos.

Acetaminofeno. P-hidroxiacetanilida. P-acetamidofenol. P-acetaminofenol. P-acetilaminofenol.

AcciпїЅn terapпїЅutica.

Propiedades.

Indicaciones.

Cefalea, odontalgia y fiebre.

DosificaciпїЅn.

Adultos: 500mg a 1.000mg por vez, sin superar los 4g por dпїЅa. NiпїЅos: 30mg/kg/dпїЅa.

Reacciones adversas.

Contraindicaciones.

Hipersensibilidad reconocida a la droga.

Ceftin is used for treating bacterial infections (sinus, skin, lung, urinary tract, ear, and throat). It may also be used to treat Lyme disease and gonorrhea. Ceftin is a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by interfering with the formation of the bacteria's cell wall so that the wall ruptures, resulting in the death of the bacteria.

Use Ceftin as directed by your doctor.

Take Ceftin by mouth with or without food.

Swallow Ceftin whole. Do not break, crush, or chew before swallowing.

Ceftin works best if it is taken at the same time each day.

To clear up your infection completely, take Ceftin for the full course of treatment. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days.

If you miss a dose of Ceftin, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose, and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use Ceftin.

Store Ceftin at room temperature, between 59 and 86 degrees F (15 and 30 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep Ceftin out of the reach of children and away from pets.

Active Ingredient: Cefuroxime axetil.

Do NOT use Ceftin if:

you are allergic to any ingredient in Ceftin or to any other cephalosporin antibiotic (eg, cephalexin, cefprozil).

Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.

Tell your health care provider if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:

if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding

if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement

if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances

if you have diarrhea, a stomach or intestinal infection, or a blood clotting problem

if you have had a severe allergic reaction (eg, severe rash, hives, difficulty breathing, dizziness) to a penicillin antibiotic (eg, amoxicillin) or other beta-lactam antibiotic (eg, imipenem).

Some medicines may interact with Ceftin. Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following:

Aminoglycosides (eg, gentamicin), cyclosporine, diuretics (eg, furosemide, hydrochlorothiazide), or other medicines affecting the kidney because side effects, such as kidney toxicity, may occur

Hormonal contraceptives (eg, birth control pills) because their effectiveness may be decreased by Ceftin.

This may not be a complete list of all interactions that may occur. Ask your health care provider if Ceftin may interact with other medicines that you take. Check with your health care provider before you start, stop, or change the dose of any medicine.

Important safety information:

Contact your doctor right away if stomach pain or cramps, severe diarrhea, or bloody stools occur during treatment or within several months after treatment with Ceftin. Do not treat diarrhea without first checking with your doctor.

The tablet and oral suspension forms of Ceftin are not equivalent. Do not substitute one for the other.

Ceftin only works against bacteria; it does not treat viral infections (eg, the common cold).

Be sure to use Ceftin for the full course of treatment. If you do not, the medicine may not clear up your infection completely. The bacteria could also become less sensitive to this or other medicines. This could make the infection harder to treat in the future.

Long-term or repeated use of Ceftin may cause a second infection. Tell your doctor if signs of a second infection occur. Your medicine may need to be changed to treat this.

Diabetes patients - Ceftin may cause the results of some tests for urine glucose to be wrong. Ask your doctor before you change your diet or the dose of your diabetes medicine.

Hormonal birth control (eg, birth control pills) may not work as well while you are using Ceftin. To prevent pregnancy, use an extra form of birth control (eg, condoms).

Lab tests, including liver function, kidney function, and complete blood cell count, may be performed while you use Ceftin. These tests may be used to monitor your condition or check for side effects. Be sure to keep all doctor and lab appointments.

Ceftin should not be used in children younger 3 months; safety and effectiveness in these children have not been confirmed.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Ceftin while you are pregnant. Ceftin is found in breast milk. Do not breastfeed while taking Ceftin.

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects.

Check with your doctor if any of these most common side effects persist or become bothersome:

Diarrhea/loose stools; nausea; vomiting. Seek medical attention right away if any of these severe side effects occur:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); bloody stools; change in the amount of urine; dark urine; easy bruising or bleeding; fatigue; fever; seizures; severe diarrhea; stomach cramps/pain; vaginal irritation or discharge; yellowing of the skin or eyes.

Terazosin Medlineplus Drug Information, Terazosine

Terazosin

Why is this medication prescribed?

Terazosin is used in men to treat the symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH), which include difficulty urinating (hesitation, dribbling, weak stream, and incomplete bladder emptying), painful urination, and urinary frequency and urgency. It also is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat high blood pressure. Terazosin is in a class of medications called alpha-blockers. It relieves the symptoms of BPH by relaxing the muscles of the bladder and prostate. It lowers blood pressure by relaxing the blood vessels so that blood can flow more easily through the body.

High blood pressure is a common condition, and when not treated it can cause damage to the brain, heart, blood vessels, kidneys and other parts of the body. Damage to these organs may cause heart disease, a heart attack, heart failure, stroke, kidney failure, loss of vision, and other problems. In addition to taking medication, making lifestyle changes will also help to control your blood pressure. These changes include eating a diet that is low in fat and salt, maintaining a healthy weight, exercising at least 30 minutes most days, not smoking, and using alcohol in moderation.

How should this medicine be used?

Terazosin comes as a capsule to take by mouth. It is usually taken with or without food once a day at bedtime or twice a day. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Take terazosin exactly as directed. Do not take more or less of it or take it more often than prescribed by your doctor.

Your doctor will start you on a low dose of terazosin and gradually increase your dose. If you stop taking terazosin for a few days or longer, call your doctor. Your doctor usually will start you again on the lowest dose of terazosin and gradually increase your dose.

Terazosin controls high blood pressure and the symptoms of BPH but does not cure them. It may take 4 to 6 weeks or longer before you feel the full benefit of terazosin for BPH. Continue to take terazosin even if you feel well. Do not stop taking terazosin without talking to your doctor.

Other uses for this medicine

This medication may be prescribed for other uses; ask your doctor or pharmacist for more information.

What special precautions should I follow?

Before taking terazosin,

tell your doctor and pharmacist if you are allergic to terazosin, doxazosin (Cardura, Cardura XL), prazosin (Minipress), any other medications, or any ingredients in terazosin capsules. Ask your pharmacist for a list of the ingredients.

tell your doctor and pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription medications, vitamins, nutritional supplements, and herbal products you are taking or plan to take. Be sure to mention any of the following: medications for erectile dysfunction (ED) such as sildenafil (Revatio, Viagra), tadalafil (Adcirca, Cialis), or vardenafil (Levitra, Staxyn); and other medications for high blood pressure, especially verapamil (Calan, Covera, Verelan, in Tarka). Your doctor may need to change the doses of your medications or monitor you carefully for side effects.

tell your doctor if you have or have ever had prostate cancer.

tell your doctor if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant, or are breastfeeding. If you become pregnant while taking terazosin, call your doctor.

if you are having surgery, including dental surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are taking terazosin. If you need to have eye surgery at any time during or after your treatment, be sure to tell your doctor that you are taking or have taken terazosin.

you should know that terazosin may make you drowsy or dizzy. Do not drive a car, operate machinery or perform dangerous tasks for 12 hours after the first time you take terazosin or after your dose is increased, and until you know how this medication affects you.

you should know that terazosin may cause dizziness, lightheadedness, and fainting when you get up too quickly from a lying position. This is more common when you first start taking terazosin, when your dose is increased, or when treatment with terazosin is stopped for several days and then restarted. To avoid this problem, get out of bed slowly, resting your feet on the floor for a few minutes before standing up. If you experience these symptoms, sit or lie down. If these symptoms do not improve, call your doctor.

What special dietary instructions should I follow?

Follow your doctor's directions for your meals, including advice for a reduced salt (sodium) diet .

What should I do if I forget a dose?

Take the missed dose as soon as you remember it. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one. Check with your doctor if you have missed two or more doses.

What side effects can this medication cause?

Terazosin may cause side effects. Tell your doctor if any of these symptoms or those listed in the SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS section are severe or do not go away:

weakness

stuffy or runny nose

back pain

nausea

weight gain

decreased sexual ability

Dental Comment

Patients allergic to penicillins can use a cephalosporin; the incidence of cross-reactivity between penicillins and cephalosporins is 1% when the allergic reaction to penicillin is delayed. Cefaclor is effective against anaerobic bacteria, but the sensitivity of alpha-hemolytic Streptococcus vary; approximately 10% of strains are resistant. Nearly 70% are intermediately sensitive. If the patient has a history of immediate reaction to penicillin, the incidence of cross-reactivity is 20%; cephalosporins are contraindicated in these patients.

Lithicarb Tablets, Liticarb

Lithicarb®

Consumer Medicine Information

THE FORMULATION OF LITHICARB HAS CHANGED. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE TAKING YOUR TABLETS.

What is in this leaflet

This leaflet answers some common questions about Lithicarb. It does not contain all the information that is known about Lithicarb. It does not take the place of talking to your doctor or pharmacist.

All medicines have risks and benefits. Your doctor has weighed the risks of you taking Lithicarb against the benefits they expect it will have for you.

If you have any concerns about taking this medicine ask your doctor or pharmacist.

Keep this leaflet with the medicine. You may need to read it again.

What Lithicarb is used for

Lithicarb is used to both treat and prevent episodes of a condition called manic-depressive or bipolar disorder, in which there are sustained mood swings either up (manic) or down (depression).

It is also used in the treatment of schizo-affective illness and chronic schizophrenia.

Lithicarb contains lithium (as lithium carbonate) as the active ingredient. Lithium is a powerful mood stabiliser, however, the exact way that lithium works to stabilise a person's mood is not known. It helps you to have more control over your emotions and helps you cope better.

Your doctor, however, may have prescribed Lithicarb for another purpose.

Ask your doctor if you have any questions about why Lithicarb has been prescribed for you. This medicine is available only with a doctor's prescription.

There is no evidence that it is addictive.

Before you take it

When you must not take it

Do not take Lithicarb if you have an allergy to:

any medicine containing lithium

any of the ingredients listed at the end of this leaflet.

Some of the symptoms of an allergic reaction may include shortness of breath, wheezing or difficulty breathing; swelling of the face, lips, tongue or other parts of the body; rash, itching or hives on the skin.

Do not take Lithicarb if you have or have had:

severe heart or kidney disease

low activity of the adrenal gland (e. g. Addison's disease)

an underactive thyroid gland

low levels of sodium in your body (e. g. if you are dehydrated or on a low salt diet).

Do not take Lithicarb after the expiry date (EXP) printed on the pack.

Do not take it if the packaging is torn or shows signs of tampering.

Do not take it to treat any other complaints unless your doctor has instructed you to do so.

Before you start to take it

A medical examination and some laboratory tests are usually performed before you begin therapy with Lithicarb. They are usually repeated at regular intervals while you continue to take this medicine.

Tell your doctor if you are allergic to any other medicines, foods, preservatives or dyes.

Tell your doctor if you have or have had any of the following medical conditions:

conditions for which you take diuretics (fluid tablets)

vomiting or diarrhoea

two infections occurring at the same time.

It may not be safe for you to take Lithicarb if you have any of these medical conditions.

Do not take Lithicarb if you are pregnant, plan to become pregnant or are breastfeeding unless you and your doctor have discussed the risks and benefits involved.

If you have not told your doctor about any of the above, tell them before you start taking Lithicarb.

Taking other medicines

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including any that you buy without a prescription from your pharmacy, supermarket or health food shop.

Lithicarb interacts with many other medicines. This can cause a change in the blood levels of either the lithium or of the other medicine, increasing the chance of side effects or lithium toxicity. Lithium toxicity may occur if the level of lithium in your blood becomes too high. If you are taking a medication which interacts with Lithicarb your blood lithium levels will need to be monitored closely.

Some medicines in common use that may interfere with Lithicarb include:

medicines for removal of fluid (diuretics)

some medicines for high blood pressure and other heart drugs (e. g. captopril, enalapril, calcium channel blockers, methyldopa, Atacand and Cozaar)

some types of tranquillisers (e. g. diazepam)

some medicines for depression (e. g. fluoxetine, imipramine)

some medicines for arthritis or pain (e. g. indomethacin, piroxicam, celecoxib, rofecoxib)

appetite suppressants

some medicines for epilepsy (e. g. carbamazepine and phenytoin)

medicines used to treat respiratory illness (e. g. theophylline)

medicines that change the acidity of the urine (e. g. sodium bicarbonate)

medicines used to treat certain mental conditions (e. g. haloperidol)

ziprasidone, which can interact with lithium to affect the heart

medicines containing steroids (e. g. prednisolone)

medicines used to treat glaucoma (e. g.acetazolamide)

medicines used to treat skin disorders (e. g.urea)

some antibiotics (e. g. metronidazole).

These medicines may be affected by Lithicarb or may affect how well it works. You may need to take different amounts of your medicine or you may need to take different medicines.

Your doctor or pharmacist has a more complete list of medicines to be careful with or avoid while taking Lithicarb.

If you have not told your doctor about any of these things, tell them before you take Lithicarb.

Things to be aware of

Lithicarb should always be taken with care and under your doctor's supervision because serious side effects may occur if the level of lithium in your blood becomes too high (lithium toxicity). This can happen if you are taking too much lithium or if there are major changes to your normal health or lifestyle.

There are a number of things you can do during therapy with Lithicarb to help prevent lithium toxicity, such as:

maintain a normal diet with adequate salt and fluid

avoid reducing your salt intake quickly

avoid heavy exercise which may lead to excessive sweating and water loss

watch for signs of lithium toxicity if you have an infection or have symptoms such as fever, vomiting or diarrhoea

watch for signs of lithium toxicity if your regular dose of Lithicarb is increased or changed or if you start taking another medication.

If you are not aware of the signs of lithium toxicity you should ask your doctor. You and your family should be able to recognise the signs of lithium toxicity and know what to do if they occur.

Use in children

Do not give Lithicarb to children. This medicine is not recommended for children as there is no specific information about such use.

Use in elderly

Elderly patients may be more sensitive to the effects or side effects of this medicine. If you are elderly you need to watch carefully for signs of side effects or lithium toxicity. Elderly patients may require a lower dosage than younger patients.

How to take it

How much to take

Follow all directions given to you by your doctor or pharmacist carefully.

Your doctor will tell you how much Lithicarb to take. The dose required to reach an effective level in the blood varies between individuals. For this reason the dose needs to be adjusted to suit you.

In the early stages of your treatment your doctor will arrange several blood tests to establish your blood level of lithium and the dose of Lithicarb that is correct for you. You will need to have regular blood tests to monitor your blood lithium level.

Your body's requirements of lithium may change and it may be necessary for your doctor to change the amount of Lithicarb taken to effectively control your mood swings.

How to take it

Lithicarb should be taken with a meal or snack to prevent stomach upset.

When to take it

In order for Lithicarb to work properly, spread out the recommended dose evenly throughout the day. This will help keep the amount of lithium in your blood constant.

Do not miss any doses and do not stop taking the medicine even if you feel better. Missing doses may make your symptoms worse.

How long to take it

Continue taking Lithicarb for as long as your doctor tells you. Lithicarb is not a cure. To control mood swings you may need to take it for a long period of time. Only after several months or even years can you and your doctor decide whether taking it is still necessary.

What to expect

When you start taking Lithicarb your mood swings should become less frequent, less severe and less prolonged.

Sometimes it must be taken for one to several weeks before you begin to feel better. However, it may take six to twelve months before the full benefits of lithium therapy become apparent. To maximise its effectiveness it is important that you take the prescribed dose of Lithicarb regularly.

If you forget to take it

If you miss a dose and it is more than two hours before your next dose is due, take it straight away, then continue as you normally would.

If it is less than 2 hours to your next dose, skip the dose you have missed but be sure to take the next dose when you are meant to.

Do not try to make up for missed doses by taking more than one dose at a time.

If you take too much (Overdose)

Immediately telephone your doctor or the Poisons Information Centre (telephone 13 11 26) for advice, or go to Accident and Emergency at the nearest hospital, if you think that you or anyone else may have taken too much Lithicarb. Do this even if there are no signs of discomfort or poisoning. You may need urgent medical attention.

While you are taking it

Things you must do

Lithium blood level tests When you first start taking Lithicarb, you may require blood tests as often as twice a week. Once your lithium levels are stable, you should need tests about 4 times a year to check that your blood lithium level is stable. If your Lithicarb dose is changed or if you have signs of lithium toxicity you may need more frequent blood tests.

The blood test must be done twelve hours after a dose, usually before you have taken your morning tablets.

Take Lithicarb exactly as your doctor has prescribed.

If you are about to be started on any new medicine, remind your doctor and pharmacist that you are taking Lithicarb.

Tell your doctor immediately if you become pregnant while taking Lithicarb.

Tell all doctors, dentists and pharmacists who are treating you, that you are taking Lithicarb.

Things you must not do

Do not give this medicine to anyone else, even if they have the same condition as you.

Do not stop taking Lithicarb suddenly unless advised by your doctor. If you stop taking it suddenly your mood swings may return. If you want to stop taking Lithicarb, your doctor will tell you how to do it gradually over several weeks or months.

Things to be careful of

Be careful driving or operating machinery until you know how Lithicarb affects you. This medicine may cause drowsiness, poor co-ordination and blurred vision in some patients, especially when you first start to take it. Make sure you know how you react to it before you drive a car, operate machinery, or do anything else that could be dangerous.

Be careful when drinking alcohol while you are taking Lithicarb. If you drink alcohol while you are taking it side effects such as drowsiness may become worse.

Side effects

Tell your doctor or pharmacist as soon as possible if you do not feel well while you are taking Lithicarb. Lithicarb helps most people with mood swings or schizophrenia, but it may have unwanted side effects in a few people. All medicines can have side effects. Sometimes they are serious, most of the time they are not. You may need medical attention if you get some of the side effects.

Ask your doctor or pharmacist to answer any questions you may have.

Tell your doctor if you notice any of the following and they worry you:

stomach upset with mild nausea (feeling sick) and diarrhoea

feeling dazed, dizzy or lightheaded

muscle weakness

fine tremor of the hands

fluid retention

thirst

passing more urine than usual

unusual tiredness or weakness

loss of appetite

vomiting

increased saliva

stomach pain

stomach problems with pain. nausea, vomiting, vomiting blood and blood in the bowel motions

constipation

slurred speech

slightly altered taste

dry mouth

headache

impotence

rash

worsening of skin diseases such as acne or psoriasis

numbness, tingling and colour change in fingers and toes when exposed to cold.

These are all common side effects of Lithicarb. Most of these will improve or resolve with time.

When Lithicarb is taken for long periods of time the following side effects can occur:

thyroid changes (goitre)

weight gain

mild forgetfulness

hair thinning.

Your doctor may suggest some dietary or lifestyle changes to help reduce these effects.

Tell your doctor immediately, or go to Accident and Emergency at your nearest hospital if you notice any of the following symptoms:

irregular heart beat

excessive thirst

passing large amounts of urine

severe stomach cramps or pain

vomiting or diarrhoea

severe drowsiness or dizziness

ringing in the ears

confusion

staggering and slurred speech

severe tremor

increased muscle twitches or weakness

blurred vision or agitation

swelling of the face, mouth lips, tongue or throat which may cause difficulty in breathing or swallowing.

These are all serious side effects. They are possible signs of high levels of lithium in the blood (lithium toxicity). You may need urgent medical attention or hospitalisation.

Tell your doctor if you notice anything else that is making you feel unwell. Some people may get other side effects while taking Lithicarb.

Do not be alarmed by this list of possible side effects. You may not experience any of them.

After taking it

Storage

Keep Lithicarb tablets in a cool dry place where the temperature stays below 30°C.

Do not store it or any other medicine in the bathroom or near a sink or stove. Do not leave it on a window sill or in the car. Heat and dampness can destroy some medicines.

Keep it where young children cannot reach it. A locked cupboard at least one-and-a-half metres above the ground is a good place to store medicines.

Disposal

If your doctor tells you to stop taking this medicine, or the expiry date has passed, ask your pharmacist what to do with any tablets you may have left.

Goose Creek Cisd Trustees Name Lone Finalist For Superintendent, Supertendin

The Goose Creek CISD Board of Trustees unanimously approved Dr. Salvador Cavazos as the lone finalist for Superintendent of Schools on June 28.

Dr. Cavazos currently serves as superintendent of Alice ISD in south Texas, a position he has held since 2009.

State law requires school districts to name lone finalists for their top posts, followed by a 21-day waiting period, before actually awarding the job. Board members have called a special meeting on July 19 when Dr. Cavazos is expected to sign his contract.

When the contract is signed, Dr. Cavazos will become the 14th superintendent in Goose Creek CISD history. He replaces Dr. Toby York who is retiring July 31. Dr. York has been superintendent since 2009.

After Dr. York announced his plans to retire in February, the Board hired Thompson & Horton LLP to direct the superintendent search. Led by attorney David Thompson and Mike Moses, a former Commissioner of Education, the search firm developed a candidate profile through input from students, parents, teachers, principals, and community members.

This profile was the yardstick used by the Board and the consultants in evaluating the 42 applicants for the position. The Board narrowed the applicant pool to seven and interviewed these candidates. Following the first round of interviews, the Board invited two of the candidates for a second interview before deciding on a lone finalist.

“We are proud to announce the selection of Dr. Cavazos as our lone finalist for superintendent of Goose Creek CISD,” said Board President Jenice Coffey. “Dr. Cavazos has a strong curriculum and instruction background and a proven record of leading districts to higher academic performance.”

Mrs. Coffey said those were just a few of the reasons why trustees believe that Dr. Cavazos is the ideal candidate to lead Goose Creek CISD.

“He brings a wealth of knowledge to our district through his work experience and success in diverse districts — both rural and urban. He is an excellent communicator and an enthusiastic individual. We look forward to working with him in positively impacting our students and staff,” Mrs. Coffey said.

Dr. Cavazos, 48, has more than 24 years of experience in Texas public schools and the non-profit corporate field.

Prior to his appointment in Alice, he served as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction in Brownsville ISD.

During his tenure there, the district received the Broad Prize in Education, designating Brownsville ISD as the highest academic performing urban district in the United States.

Other positions he has held include Chief Development Officer for Southwest Key Programs, Inc. in Austin, principal of Johnston High School and Fulmore Middle School in Austin ISD, principal of Santa Maria High School in Santa Maria ISD, and assistant principal of McAllen Rowe High School and Lamar Middle School in McAllen ISD. He also served as a teacher at McAllen High School.

Dr. Cavazos earned his bachelor’s degree in Political Science and English from the University of Texas-Pan American in 1986, and his master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Texas-Pan American in 1988. He earned his doctorate degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Texas at Austin in 2002.

He holds Texas Educator Certification for superintendent, mid management administrator, counselor, and secondary (grades 6-12) teacher for government and English.

“It is a great honor to have been named lone finalist of Goose Creek CISD,” said Dr. Cavazos. “My wife, four children and I have enjoyed living in Alice. However, working at GCCISD would be a great opportunity that I look forward to discussing with the Board of Trustees.”

Dr. Cavazos and his wife, Bertha, have two college-aged children and two school-aged children. Dr. Cavazos and his family will relocate to Baytown this summer.

Goose Creek CISD serves more than 21,000 students in the communities of Baytown and Highlands.

Encompassing a 128-square-mile area, Goose Creek CISD has one primary school, 13 elementary schools, five junior schools, and three high schools, as well as a wide range of special programs and services, including IMPACT Early College High School, John M. Stuart Career Center, the POINT Alternative Center, and the Peter E. Hyland Center.

12 Health Benefits Of Acai Berries, Acai Fruit

12 Health Benefits of Acai Berries

There are numerous healthy berries that would be a great addition to your diet. The acai berry is one of the healthiest berries you will ever find.

Acai is an indigenous berry commonly found in the rain forests of the Amazon. This antioxidant-rich fruit has been heralded for centuries as a healing, immune-stimulating, energy-boosting fruit. Research has shown that this antioxidant-rich berry may be able to fight the health problems associated with oxidative damage, not to mention many other health benefits.

1. Heart Health

Similar to red wine, research shows that acai berries are extremely high in anthocyanins, a form of plant antioxidant associated with the ability to lower cholesterol levels in the blood stream. They are also rich in plant sterols that provide cardio-protective benefits to our cells. It does this by preventing blood clots, improving overall blood circulation, and relaxing the blood vessels.

2. Resistant to Harmful Organisms

Scientists from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro have shown that consuming acai extract may help fight harmful organisms. However, I recommend Oregano Oil for this task.

3. Aids in Weight Loss

Known by nutritionists as a super-food, acai may help us not only lose weight. but maintain a healthy weight. One interesting study from the National Institutes of Aging found that pulp from the acai berry had the ability to reduce the negative effects of a high-fat diet in laboratory studies on flies.

4. Promotes Skin Health

Currently, many modern beauty products are carrying acai oil, again due to the oil’s high antioxidant content. What is more, acai oil is a great natural alternative to chemical based skin-care products that harm the skin in the long-run. Taken internally, the berries can also give your skin a healthier glow. In fact, Brazilians have been eating acai berries for centuries to treat skin conditions.

5. Helps Digestion

Taking acai may also aid in keeping our digestive system clean and in optimal function. The berries have powerful detoxification capacities in the human body and are a well-known traditional source of dietary fiber. Of course, there are many other high fiber foods that can do the same thing, including many other types of berries.

6. Reduces Irritation

Acai berries contain properties may prevent the typical irritation associated with respiratory distress.

7. Improved Cellular Health

On a general level, the anthocyanins found in acai play a role in our cellular protection system, helping to keep cells strong against the invasion of free radicals.

8. Immune Booster

Acai is very high in Vitamin C and ellagic acid, an immune-system-boosting combination that has been shown to suppress the growth of cancer. One study published in the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry found that polyphenolic compounds extracted from acai reduced cancer cell proliferation by 56-86%. It is thought that acai’s phytochemcials can stop the process of carcinogenesis on a molecular level, killing off tumorous cells before they multiply. Acai berries are not a cure for cancer; but hopefully more research will examine their benefits and potential role in the fight.

9. Anti-Aging Effects

Extremely high in many forms of plant phytochemicals (antioxidants), acai berries may contribute to an ability to slow or reverse typical processes of aging related to oxidative damage. In fact, the berries are one of the planets highest sources of antioxidants, with one berry holding ten times the amount of antioxidants as grapes, and two times the amount of blueberries.

10. Energy Boost

Due its overall health benefits, taking acai extract can lead to an increased overall level of energy and stamina, and may aid to combat fatigue and exhaustion. Whenever you need a boost, simply eat a handful of berries and you will be ready to go in no time!

11. Better Sex

This famous red berry has also been linked to overall increased blood circulation in the human body, a phenomenon that may contribute to a boost in sex drive, especially for men.

12. Improves Mental Function

Preliminary research studies show that acai may prevent mental imbalance in menopausal women.

Buy organically-certified Acai. Not only are they safer, but taste better too. If you can’t find acai berries, another good source of antioxidant fruits are goji berries .

Thanks for sharing the information.

I found acai juice in two places: Shoprite – in produce refrigerated juices section. Zola: thick and very tasty, about $3.49/10 oz. bottle, and in Costco – refrigerated juices section: Sambazon: thinner and OK tasting, but a better value @ $8.99 for a twopack of 1 liter each. I prefer the Zola, but only buy it for a treat due to the cost. Darn good, though compared to Sambazon.

I recently heard that the acai berry can bring back the taste buds. food is bland for me. also my neighbor lost most of his sense of taste due to radiation theropy. Will this help?

You may also be able to but acai supplements if there are no berries close to your city. You may find the supplements at a local health store or maybe in your local grocery store in the natural supplement isle

Several of these facts in this are either unproven or have no scientific basis. A lot of these facts aren’t even facts. More of assumptions and inferences based on a rumors and misconstrued facts

Honest Tea makes a great Mango Acai White Tea with organic ingredients. WF Market recently stopped carrying it in the small bottles, probably because they introduced a version in their own brand…it’s not as potent nor organic. I now order cases of Honest Tea elsewhere. During the break when I wasn’t drinking it daily, I gained weight and had menopausal brain fog. Glad to promote this product!

Zovir Generic Name Aciclovir Online, Zovir

Zovir General Information

Zovir - Pharmacology:

Viral (HSV-1, HSV-2 and VZV) thymidine kinase converts aciclovir to the aciclovir monophosphate, which is then converted to the diphosphate by cellular guanylate kinase, and finally to the triphosphate by phosphoglycerate kinase, phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase, and pyruvate kinase. Zovir triphosphate competitively inhibits viral DNA polymerase and competes with the natural deoxyguanosine triphosphate, for incorporation into viral DNA. Once incorporated, aciclovir triphosphate inhibits DNA synthesis by acting as a chain terminator.

Zovir for patients

Patients are instructed to consult with their physician if they experience severe or troublesome adverse reactions, they become pregnant or intend to become pregnant, they intend to breastfeed while taking orally administered ZOVIRAX, or they have any other questions.

Herpes Zoster: There are no data on treatment initiated more than 72 hours after onset of the zoster rash. Patients should be advised to initiate treatment as soon as possible after a diagnosis of herpes zoster.

Genital Herpes Infections: Patients should be informed that ZOVIRAX is not a cure for genital herpes. There are no data evaluating whether ZOVIRAX will prevent transmission of infection to others. Because genital herpes is a sexually transmitted disease, patients should avoid contact with lesions or intercourse when lesions and/or symptoms are present to avoid infecting partners. Genital herpes can also be transmitted in the absence of symptoms through asymptomatic viral shedding. If medical management of a genital herpes recurrence is indicated, patients should be advised to initiate therapy at the first sign or symptom of an episode.

Chickenpox: Chickenpox in otherwise healthy children is usually a self-limited disease of mild to moderate severity. Adolescents and adults tend to have more severe disease. Treatment was initiated within 24 hours of the typical chickenpox rash in the controlled studies, and there is no information regarding the effects of treatment begun later in the disease course.

This description is suitable for active ingredient Aciclovir

Zovir Interactions

Co-administration of probenecid with acyclovir has been shown to increase the mean half-life and the area under the concentration-time curve. Urinary excretion and renal clearance were correspondingly reduced. The clinical effects of this combination have not been studied.

Zovir Contraindications

ZOVIRAX is contraindicated for patients who develop hypersensitivity to acyclovir or valacyclovir.

Benjamin T VERY nice 1911 for very little $. I've owned several "bargain" 1911's and this one is by far the best of the cheap crowd, AND it's made in America. Compared to Kimber's, Wilson's, and a Springfield TRP that I have had fun with, this isn't exactly a "pretty" gun, but it fit's the bill for a reliable beater. I'd give it 4 stars if it had a beaver tail grip safety, otherwise this is a solid piece and probably one of the best value's out right now. 3 years ago

Colin T One of the best 1911's available in this price range. So far, 500+ downrange. Excellent reliability, excellent accuracy. I couldn't be more pleased. 4 years ago

Hypovase™ Tablets 0.5mg, 1mg prazosin

Read all of this leaflet carefully before you start taking this medicine.

In this leaflet:

1 What Hypovase is and what it is used for 2 Before you take Hypovase 3 How to take Hypovase 4 Possible side effects 5 How to store Hypovase 6 Further information

1. What Hypovase is and what it is used for Hypovase is one of a group of medicines called alpha-blockers. It is usually used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). It may also be used to treat heart failure, painful cold fingers (Raynaud’s Disease) or mild enlargement of the prostate gland (prostatic hyperplasia) in men.

2. Before you take Hypovase Do not take Hypovase if you:

• are allergic (hypersensitive) to prazosin, or to any similar drugs (known as quinazoline drugs) or any of the other ingredients listed in section 6. This may have caused itching, reddening of the skin or difficulty in breathing. • are under 12 years of age.

Take special care with Hypovase

Medicines are not always suitable for everyone. Your doctor needs to know before you take Hypovase if any of the following apply to you: • you have heart failure because of another heart condition, e. g. heart valve disease, or a recent heart attack. If you have heart failure, Hypovase can gradually become less helpful over several months. If this happens you may notice swelling of your legs or ankles due to retention of fluid. This is called ‘oedema’. If you develop oedema or weight gain tell your doctor as your doctor may need to change the dose of Hypovase or other medicines you are taking. • you have ever fainted after passing urine.

• you have liver or kidney disease. • you are undergoing eye surgery because of a cataract (cloudiness of the lens). This is because Hypovase may cause complications during the surgery which can be managed if your specialist is prepared in advance. Please inform your eye specialist before the operation that you are using or have previously used Hypovase. Remember to tell your doctor that you are taking Hypovase if you have any tests, such as a urine test, as Hypovase may affect the result.

Taking other medicines

Some medicines can affect the way Hypovase works. If you are taking any of the following medicines tell your doctor before you start the treatment: • calcium antagonists, ACE inhibitors or beta-blockers which are usually given to treat angina and/or high blood pressure. • medicines for erectile dysfunction (impotence). Some patients who take Hypovase for the treatment of high blood pressure or prostate enlargement may experience dizziness or light-headedness, which may be caused by low blood pressure upon sitting or standing up quickly. Certain patients have experienced these symptoms when taking drugs for erectile dysfunction (impotence) with Hypovase. In order to reduce the likelihood that these symptoms occur, you should be on a regular daily dose of Hypovase before you start drugs for erectile dysfunction. Please tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking or have recently taken any other medicines, including medicines obtained without a prescription.

Taking Hypovase with food and drink

Hypovase can be taken before or after food and drinks.

Pregnancy and Breast-feeding

If you are pregnant, planning to get pregnant or are breast-feeding, tell your doctor before you take Hypovase. Ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking any medicine.

Driving and using machines

Hypovase may cause dizziness, drowsiness or weakness. If you experience these symptoms, do not drive or use any tools or machinery.

3. How to take Hypovase Always take Hypovase exactly as you doctor has told you. You should check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. Hypovase tablets are to be taken by mouth. Sometimes Hypovase can make you feel light-headed or weak particularly when you first take it. This can happen when standing up and can occasionally cause fainting. If the treatment makes you feel light-headed or weak; lie down until you feel better. Get up slowly when you feel better. If you are concerned, tell your doctor. Hypovase is usually started at the lowest possible dose and gradually increased, depending on how you respond to treatment. Do not change the dose or stop taking the tablets without first checking with your doctor. Make sure you get a new prescription before your tablets run out.

High blood pressure (hypertension)

The recommended starting dose is one 0.5 mg tablet, two or three times a day for 3 to 7 days with the starting dose taken in the evening. The dose is usually then increased to a 1 mg tablet taken two or three times a day for a further 3 to 7 days. Your doctor may then advise you to gradually increase the dose further (up to a maximum of 20 mg daily) depending on how your blood pressure has responded to treatment.

• Keep this leaflet. You may need to read it again. • If you have any further questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist. • This medicine has been prescribed for you. Do not pass it on to others. It may harm them, even if their symptoms are the same as yours. • If any of the side effects gets serious, or if you notice any side effects not listed in this leaflet, please tell your doctor or pharmacist.

In patients with high blood pressure (hypertension) Hypovase works by relaxing blood vessels so that blood passes through them more easily. It can be used alone or in combination with other drugs used to treat hypertension. In patients with heart failure, Hypovase works by relaxing the main blood vessels of the heart, allowing the heart to pump blood more easily. Hypovase is usually used in heart failure when other drugs are either no longer working or have not worked at all. In patients with Raynaud’s Disease the treatment relaxes blood vessels in the hands, so blood can reach the fingers more easily. This helps to prevent coldness and stiffness. In patients with enlargement of the prostate gland the treatment is taken to treat poor and/or frequent passing of urine. This is common in patients with enlargement of the prostate gland. The treatment works by relaxing muscle around the bladder and prostate gland so urine is passed more easily. You should ask your doctor if you are unsure why you have been given Hypovase.

The recommended starting dose is one 0.5 mg tablet taken two, three or four times a day. Your doctor may then advise you to increase the dose further (up to a maximum of 20 mg daily) depending on how you have responded to treatment.

The recommended starting dose is one 0.5 mg tablet, twice a day for 3 to 7 days. Your doctor may then advise you to increase the dose further (up to 2 mg twice a day) depending on how you have responded to treatment.

You will find more about HYPOVASE on the back of this leaflet

The recommended starting dose is one 0.5 mg tablet, twice a day for 3 to 7 days, with the initial dose taken in the evening. Your doctor may then advise you to increase the dose further (up to 2 mg twice a day) depending on how you have responded to treatment.

If you take more Hypovase than you should

If you accidentally take too much Hypovase, contact your doctor immediately or go to your nearest hospital casualty department. Always take the labelled medicine package with you, whether there is any Hypovase left or not.

If you forget to take Hypovase

If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is time for your next dose. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

If you stop taking Hypovase

Do not stop taking Hypovase unless your doctor tells you to. Your condition may return if you stop using Hypovase. If you have any further questions on how to take this product, ask your doctor or pharmacist.

4. Possible side effects Hypovase, like most medicines may cause side effects, but not everybody gets them. What is the most important information I should know about desoximetasone topical (Topicort)?

Use this medication exactly as directed on the label, or as it has been prescribed by your doctor. Do not use the medication in larger amounts or for longer than recommended. Topical steroid medicine can be absorbed through the skin, which may cause steroid side effects throughout the body.

Do not cover treated skin areas with a bandage or other covering unless your doctor has told you to. If you are treating the diaper area of a baby, do not use plastic pants or tight-fitting diapers. Covering the skin that is treated with desoximetasone topical can increase the amount of medicine your skin absorbs, which may lead to unwanted side effects. Follow your doctor's instructions.

Do not use this medication on a child without a doctor's advice. Children are more likely to absorb large amounts of a topical steroid through the skin. Steroid absorption in children may cause unwanted side effects, or a delay in growth with long-term use. Talk with your doctor if you think your child is not growing at a normal rate while using this medication over a long treatment period.

Contact your doctor if your condition does not improve, or if you develop signs of a bacterial, fungal, or viral skin infection.

Erythromycin (Sanasepton)

Erythromycin is used for treating infections caused by certain bacteria. It is also used to prevent bacterial endocarditis and attacks of rheumatic fever. Erythromycin is a macrolide antibiotic. It works by slowing the growth of, or sometimes killing, sensitive bacteria by reducing the production of important proteins needed by the bacteria to survive.

Use Erythromycin as directed by your doctor.

Take Erythromycin by mouth with or without food. If stomach upset occurs, take with food to reduce stomach irritation.

Swallow Erythromycin whole. Do not break, crush, or chew before swallowing.

Do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice while you use Erythromycin.

Erythromycin works best if taken at the same time each day.

To clear up your infection completely, take Erythromycin for the full course of treatment. Keep taking it even if you feel better in a few days.

If you miss a dose of Erythromycin, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do not take 2 doses at once.

Ask your health care provider any questions you may have about how to use Erythromycin.

Store Erythromycin at room temperature, below 86 degrees F (30 degrees C). Store away from heat, moisture, and light. Do not store in the bathroom. Keep tightly closed. Keep Erythromycin out of the reach of children and away from pets.

Do NOT use Erythromycin if:

you are allergic to any ingredient in Erythromycin

you are taking astemizole, cisapride, conivaptan, diltiazem, dofetilide, an ergot alkaloid (eg, dihydroergotamine, ergotamine), everolimus, an HIV protease inhibitor (eg, ritonavir), an imidazole (eg, ketoconazole), nilotinib, pimozide, a QT-prolonging agent (eg, quinidine, sotalol), a quinolone (eg, ciprofloxacin), a streptogramin (eg, quinupristin/dalfopristin), terfenadine, or verapamil.

Contact your doctor or health care provider right away if any of these apply to you.

Some medical conditions may interact with Erythromycin. Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:

if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding

if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement

if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances

if you have diarrhea or a stomach or intestinal infection

if you have a history of kidney or liver disease, heart problems, a fast or irregular heartbeat, myasthenia gravis, or the blood disease porphyria.

Some medicines may interact with Erythromycin. Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following:

Astemizole, cisapride, diltiazem, dofetilide, an HIV protease inhibitor (eg, ritonavir), imidazoles (eg, ketoconazole), nilotinib, pimozide, a QT-prolonging agent (eg, quinidine, sotalol), a quinolone (eg, ciprofloxacin), a streptogramin (eg, quinupristin/dalfopristin), terfenadine, or verapamil because side effects, such as heart toxicity or irregular heartbeat, may occur. Check with your doctor if you have questions about which medicines may affect your heartbeat.

Conivaptan, ergot alkaloids (eg, dihydroergotamine, ergotamine), or everolimus because the risk of their side effects may be increased by Erythromycin

Many prescription and nonprescription medicines (eg, used for aches and pains, allergies, blood thinning, breathing problems, cancer, diabetes, erection problems, gout, heart problems, high blood calcium levels, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, HIV infection, inflammation, infections, low blood sodium levels, migraine, mood or mental problems, overactive bladder, Parkinson disease, prevention of organ transplant rejection, seizures, stomach problems, trouble sleeping), multivitamin products, and herbal or dietary supplements (eg, herbal teas, coenzyme Q10, garlic, ginseng, ginkgo, St. John's wort) may also interact with Erythromycin. Ask your doctor or pharmacist if you are unsure if any of your medicines might interfere with Erythromycin.

This may not be a complete list of all interactions that may occur. Ask your health care provider if Erythromycin may interact with other medicines that you take. Check with your health care provider before you start, stop, or change the dose of any medicine.

Important safety information:

Mild diarrhea is common with antibiotic use. However, a more serious form of diarrhea (pseudomembranous colitis) may rarely occur. This may develop while you use the antibiotic or within several months after you stop using it. Contact your doctor right away if stomach pain or cramps, severe diarrhea, or bloody stools occur. Do not treat diarrhea without first checking with your doctor.

Erythromycin only works against bacteria; it does not treat viral infections (eg, the common cold).

Be sure to use Erythromycin for the full course of treatment. If you do not, the medicine may not clear up your infection completely. The bacteria could also become less sensitive to this or other medicines. This could make the infection harder to treat in the future.

Long-term or repeated use of Erythromycin may cause a second infection. Tell your doctor if signs of a second infection occur. Your medicine may need to be changed to treat this.

Tell your doctor or dentist that you take Erythromycin before you receive any medical or dental care, emergency care, or surgery.

Rarely, patients taking Erythromycin have developed reversible hearing loss. The risk is greater if you have kidney problems or you take high doses of Erythromycin. Contact your doctor if you develop decreased hearing or hearing loss.

Erythromycin may interfere with certain lab tests. Be sure your doctor and lab personnel know you are taking Erythromycin.

Lab tests, including liver function, kidney function, and complete blood cell counts, may be performed while you use Erythromycin. These tests may be used to monitor your condition or check for side effects. Be sure to keep all doctor and lab appointments.

Pregnancy and breast-feeding: If you become pregnant, contact your doctor. You will need to discuss the benefits and risks of using Erythromycin while you are pregnant. Erythromycin is found in breast milk. If you are or will be breast-feeding while you use Erythromycin, check with your doctor. Discuss any possible risks to your baby.

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects.

Check with your doctor if any of these most common side effects persist or become bothersome:

Diarrhea; loss of appetite; nausea; stomach pain; vomiting.

Seek medical attention right away if any of these severe side effects occur:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); bloody stools; decreased hearing or hearing loss; irregular heartbeat; muscle weakness; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; seizures; severe diarrhea; severe stomach pain or cramps; symptoms of liver problems (eg, yellowing of the skin or eyes, pale stools, severe or persistent nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, or dark urine).

This is not a complete list of all side effects that may occur. If you have questions about side effects, contact your health care provider.
